Mark Barber, MD, MPH is a board-certified neurologist and headache medicine specialist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he also completed his neurology residency and headache medicine fellowship. He regularly engages in advocacy efforts, like Headache on the Hill and Miles for Migraine, to support communities disproportionately affected by headache disorders. He has published about the interplay between lifestyle factors, identity, and headaches. He is passionate about promoting headache education and regularly teaches medical students, residents, and headache medicine fellows at Mount Sinai. He currently serves as a co-chair of the American Headache Society’s LGBTQIA+ Health Special Interest Group.
