Dr. Rebecca Erwin Wells is a Professor of Neurology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she founded and directs the Comprehensive Headache Program. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with highest honors, East Carolina-Brody School of Medicine, Neurology residency at University of Virginia, and Harvard Masters of Public Health. At Harvard, she also completed a three-year research fellowship in Integrative Medicine and a Headache Medicine fellowship. She served as President of Southern Headache Society from 2022-2024 and currently serves on the AHS Board of Directors. She has NIH R01 funding to investigate the efficacy of mind/body treatments for headache. She has won the AHS Early Career Lecture Award and the American Academy of Neurology’s Wolff-Graham award for recognition of her outstanding achievements in headache/facial pain research.
