Scott W. Powers, PhD, ABPP, FAHS is a Professor of Pediatrics and Psychology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, a Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation Endowed Chair, and a member of the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology at Cincinnati Children’s. He is Co-Director of the Headache Center, a multi-disciplinary program that is dedicated to evidence-based, family-centered care; education and training across disciplines; world-class research; and engaged advocacy for those living with migraine.
Dr. Powers is currently the principal investigator for two NIH R01 awards and a U01 mutli-center grant. He is also the principal investigator for a 15-site comparative effectiveness trial (PCORI; 2023-2029) that is testing cognitive behavioral therapy provided via telehealth with and without preventive medication. Dr. Powers has over 225 publications, including high-impact clinical trial reports in the Journal of the American Medical Association, New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA Open Network, and JAMA Pediatrics.
