This session will describe funding opportunities at Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). We award contracts (as opposed to grants) on a range of topics, including headaches and related conditions. Our focus is on health and health-related outcomes, and we do not fund any basic science research. Engagement before and during the study are key features of our successful awards. Examples of "stakeholders" include patients, clinicians, caregivers, and insurance payors.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to list at least two key features of PCORI funding.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe the scope of engagement that PCORI seeks in the studies it funds.
Upon completion, participant will be able to discern whether or not PCORI might be a good fit for the participant's future research proposals.
